Maintenance

Sure Cast Aluminum Foundry, a rapidly expanding company in the manufacturing sector is looking for a motivated individual who will work independently to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Blaine, Minnesota.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions of equipment
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts
• Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
• Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments
• Clearly communicate with peers and other departments to ensure that priority jobs are completed on time
• Respond promptly and appropriately to plant emergency and breakdown situations
• Be able to weld aluminum parts or have the ability/desire to learn
• Assist with implementation and execution of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles
• Handle purchasing of needed parts, equipment, tools in conjunction with the Production Manager

Requirements:

• Must have a good understanding of fluid mechanics (hydraulics and pneumatics), and all of the components involved in these processes such as valves, cylinders, pumps and compressors
• Must have some knowledge on melting furnaces (gas and electric), heat treat ovens and aging ovens, or the ability to learn
• Basic electrical skills are a must
• Previous experience with automatic green sand distribution systems and automatic molding machines is a plus
• Must be able to work OT, Nights and Weekends if needed.
• Regular shift is M-TH, 5 am to 3:30 pm
