Job Purpose

The Maintenance Building and Grounds Is responsible for repair of electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, other building systems as well as production equipment in the facility.

Essential Duties

• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
• Work with Maintenance Manager to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
• Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments, delegates assignments based on team members skill and experience.
• Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively and in a timely manner.
• Inspect and maintain dust collection systems, inspect fire extinguishers, and inspect fire risers in the building.
• Use various equipment such as fork lifts, and or scissor lifts for everyday tasks, inspections, and repairs.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC systems and filtration systems.
• Need to work overtime if needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Extensive knowledge of building systems is needed as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The position also requires the ability to prioritize. Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience required.
• Experience in a food facility is preferred but not required.

Key Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
• Able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
• Use heavy equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs at a time.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
