Maintenance Chief Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Chief to oversee the maintenance operations of our facility in Portage. The successful candidate will ensure that all equipment and machinery are functioning efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. As the Maintenance Chief, you will manage a team of maintenance technicians and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards. You will also develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.

Skills

The Maintenance Chief will need strong leadership and management skills to effectively manage a team of maintenance technicians. A strong understanding of maintenance procedures and best practices is essential, as well as the ability to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and strong communication skills to effectively communicate with other departments and stakeholders are also required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in maintenance management in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Electrical and PCM.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience with predictive maintenance techniques.
