TITLE: MAINTENANCE WORKER

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrates aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities.
• Must be capable of rigorous physical labor.
• (Able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.)
• Demonstrate a cheerful attitude, good personal hygiene and ability to work with students, teachers, administrators, patrons and co-workers.
• Fulfill requirements for promptness and good attendance habits.
• Demonstrate good work habits and effective use of time.
• Posses ability to communicate effectively.
• Experienced in all areas of general construction, to include but not limited to concrete finishing, carpentry, equipment usage, floor tile, welding, etc.

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

EVALUATED BY: Director of Operations

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 232 day contract.

Salary to be determined as per SECNP Master Contract.

JOB GOAL: To provide students, patrons and staff with a safe, attractive, comfortable and clean facility which is conducive to a good learning/working atmosphere.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains all tools in a safe working manner.
• Work will be performed at each facility in such a manner as to create as little disturbance as possible.
• Cooperate with supervisors in relations to working in inclement weather conditions and willingness to work weekends, holidays and after hours as needed.
• Installs signs, fence, playground equipment and other grounds type repairs and installations as required.
• Works with the lawn personnel to improve the curb appearance of district buildings.
• Works in all trade areas as needed to help on projects.
• Performs all other duties that are assigned by the Director of Operations.
