The Maintenance Clerk's primary job is purchasing supplies for all of production (manufacturing). You will be required to handle all of aspects of this job in a timely manner.

Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Place orders on a timely basis for purchases of materials and supplies.

Handle work orders for Forklifts and Clamp Trucks.

Create purchase orders for supplies and work orders.

Receive in all supplies and parts as they are delivered to the plant and deliver required paperwork to accounting.

Be familiar with standard products used and research sources of supplies for the highest quality, best value for the money, best terms, etc.

Establish vendor files and inventory control records.

Maintain price records and handle discrepancies as they arise.

Understand and comply with all safety and quality requirements.

Able to inform maintenance of an issue needing their assistance.

Inform management of upcoming price increases, improved product availability, and economical alternatives.

Maintaining a positive and professional work attitude.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

Additional duties assigned by management.

Basic Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment

Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred

Must pass a preemployment background check and drug screening

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Starting salary for position: $26.79 per hour.
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
  • Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
