Description of Work

This position is located at Correction Enterprises - Sampson Laundry in Clinton, North Carolina.

The Maintenance Mechanic III is responsible for managing maintenance programs and providing maintenance support for the Sampson Laundry facility. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Construction Mechanic IV.

The employee in this position is responsible for supervising offenders assigned to maintenance operations and ensuring that all equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely and efficient manner. Duties include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and ensuring the safe operation of machinery and facility systems.

This position plays a critical role in supporting the operational needs of Sampson Laundry. As a production-based operation, Sampson Laundry functions much like a private-sector business and must consistently meet production schedules, customer deadlines, and delivery commitments. Therefore, the Maintenance Mechanic III position exists to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support the continuous operation of the facility in order to meet these business objectives.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $41,206 - $72,113

The Knowledge Skills and Abilities/ Management Preferences are not required. Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.

  • Must demonstrate experience in repairing machinery.

  • Must demonstrate prior knowledge in electricity, machinery, and plumbing,

Minimum Education and Experience
