Job Title: Hotel Maintenance Director

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Director to join our hotel team. The ideal candidate will be accountable for overseeing all aspects of the physical maintenance and repair of our hotel facilities. This leadership role involves managing a team of skilled maintenance staff, implementing sustainable practices, and ensuring that all mechanical systems operate efficiently to provide guests with a safe and impeccably maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all areas of the hotel are maintained to high standards.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program including preventative maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Manage, train, and evaluate maintenance staff to ensure a high level of service and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance needs, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and operations.
- Monitor and manage budgets, expenses, and inventory for supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes, maintaining up-to-date documentation.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and service providers as needed for facility repairs and upgrades.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, providing expert guidance and hands-on support as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the premises to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
- Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping phone on hand.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within facilities maintenance, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Superior problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively lead a diverse team.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations specific to the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
