JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Overview
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance in a fast-paced production environment. You will play a critical role in keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance on production equipment • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems • Support equipment changeovers and complete scheduled PMs • Diagnose and resolve issues in a live production environment • Perform quality checks to ensure equipment meets production standards • Work closely with maintenance, production, and support teams to minimize downtime • Complete all required training in compliance with Adient and customer standards
Qualifications & Experience
High School Diploma or GED Requires at least 3 years of relevant field experience. Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor is a plus. Prior experience as a Millwright, Electrician, or Machine Repair Technician in an automotive manufacturing environment. Experience in automotive sheet metal stamping preferred. Experience with large transfer and progressive dies is a plus. Working knowledge of PLCs. Able to work Second Shift: 1:45 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed. Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with support personnel
