Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Letohatchee, AL

• Provide electrical services per local/state/federal objectives and/or MTI/MSHA standards
• Ability to identify and repair/replace industrial electrical components/instruments or systems, and be familiar with:

• Understanding of PLC systems
• Control wiring
• Installation or repair of various electrical systems (VFD’s, soft starts, contactors, etc.)
• Project planning (defining scope of work) both internal and external (working with contractors, vendors, etc.)

• Assisting in other skilled trades (mechanical) as needed

• Note: this position requires the candidate to support all maintenance functions including bearings & drives, lubrication, general repairs/preventive maintenance to various pieces of equipment, etc.
• Welding and fabrication skills, alignment, crane ops, etc., a plus

• Analyze blue prints, schematics, and drawings to determine the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems or to troubleshoot existing equipment
• Completing work orders and/or projects with little to no supervision, in a timely manner, that contributes to the sustainability/reliability of the Sandy Ridge/Letohatchee plants.
• Ability to perform ground tests & IR scans
• Participate in all OE and Safety initiatives
• Working safely, following procedures, always. No exceptions. 
• Any other function as directed by the Maintenance or Plant Manager

Qualifications/Requirements-

• High School graduate or GED mandatory
• Degreed plus 3 years experience or 5 years experience in related field
• Must be available for call outs
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• Must be able to travel if needed-little to no travel expected

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

• Must be able to work at elevated heights
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry, etc, 50#’s
• Must be able to perform computer applications
• Must have ability/experience operating various pieces of mobile equipment

Travel: Little to none but possible.

Working Conditions: 

Indoor, outdoor, day, night, weather (hot, cold, rain), field, elevated heights, confined spaces, etc.

Work Hours: 

M-F day shift, call outs, OT, possible shift work, etc.

Safety Training: 

Behavior based, LOTO, confined space, rescue, elevated heights, MSHA, OSHA, etc.
