Maintenance Electrician Sr

Job Overview

The Maintenance Electrician Sr repairs and maintains electrical and mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, power tools, production machines, building/facility, as well as preventative maintenance and emergency response by performing the following duties with minimal supervision. This role will train lower level electricians and trainees/general helpers and provide basic hand tools.

Job Summary

• Performs general maintenance on various equipment such as, pumps, cranes, hoist, hydraulic systems, and steam generators. This includes general maintenance in addition to electrical maintenance.
  
• Make repairs, replacements, adjustments, inspections, trouble shoot, and preventative maintenance on all equipment
  
• Operates all types of conventional power tools
  
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
  
• Installs new equipment
  
• Drive forklift, arial boom lifts, scissors lifts
  
• Repairs electrical equipment, run conduit
  
• Layout jobs in compliance with NEC
  
• Uses various electrical meters as required per specific job
  

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of PLC systems and Frequency inverters.
  
• Simple plumbing knowledge is a must
  
• Ability to perform some welding and soldering
  
• Familiar with National Electrical Code
  
• Good electrical and mechanical skills to perform the needed repairs and installations
  
• Good understanding of the NEC with respect to Industrial Applications and knowledge of how to apply to keep the facility within code requirements.
  
• Good working knowledge of various control systems on equipment and HVAC Systems.
  
• Critical thinking skills and good decision making thought processes
  
• Ability to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization.

Required Experience and Education

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in related field and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00 (hourly estimate)
