ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support our Prime NASA program at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.

SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

Under direction of the Electrical Supervisor, the Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the daily operation and electrical maintenance of buildings to include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and all other building related electrical systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Troubleshoot various electrical systems
  • Installation and maintenance of electrical components
  • Attend safety training classes & certifications
  • Responds to emergencies
  • Monitors UPS Battery Alber System
  • Assists with outages as needed
  • Provides building escorts as needed
  • Switches UPS, ATS, & LOAD CENTERS as needed
  • Schedules replacement of lights as necessary.
  • Responds to smoke alarms
  • Maintains Log
  • Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle potentially highly stressful situations.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive team atmosphere with effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with a variety of people and personalities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience and Professional Associations/Licenses):

Minimum

  • Four (4) years' experience in electrical field
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred

  • Experience with Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
