Maintenance Engineer

Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Supervises: Not a supervisory position

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of the club's facilities and equipment. This position ensures that all building systems, fitness amenities, pools, locker rooms, kitchens, and grounds remain safe, reliable, and in excellent operating condition while providing exceptional service to members and staff.

The ideal candidate possesses broad maintenance experience with strong technical knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen equipment, and general building maintenance. This position works in assigned areas and takes directions from the Facilities Management Team (Facilities Director and / or the Assistant Facilities Director and Maintenance Manager).

This is a non-exempt, hourly position; must be available to workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays and have a flexible schedule.

Additional Responsibilities

Additional Duties as required to cover shifts:

• Laundry, Security, Housekeeping duties and / or landscaping and groundskeeping responsibilities as needed.
• Landscaping duties: lawn mowing/maintenance, planting flowers, weeding, mulching, watering, fertilizing, tree trimming, digging, etc.; clean, fill and maintain water jugs, leaf blowing and clean / maintain all areas (parking lot, tennis courts, pool, marina, etc.) empty trash receptacles, remove spider /cobwebs.
• Move furniture (setup/break down)
• Janitorial/housekeeping responsibilities; clean / vacuum / sweep / mop floors, windows, dust, etc, laundry,

Physical Demands:

This position requires standing, walking, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, lifting, holding/carrying, twisting/turning, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to routinely lift 50 pounds or more regularly. Also requires the ability to climb a 15-foot extension ladder and work while scaffolding; able to perform the necessary job functions in hot and cold environments for extended periods of time (indoor/outdoor).

Work Environment:

Tasks are performed with exposure to diverse environmental and safety conditions. The position will require the use of equipment that will present noise levels and safety concerns in the workplace which may be excessive and will require, from time to time, the use of ear plugs and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
