Maintenance Engineer

SCM Real Estate Services is on a mission – and it is to “Make Places Better.” We need an experienced Maintenance Engineer who can help make our places better in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, preventive maintenance, and make ready.ResponsibilitiesRespond to tenant service requestsPerform preventive maintenance, corrective and emergency repairs of buildings, systems, equipment and groundsDaily monitoring of building system operations and performance including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation of equipmentReview assigned work ordersUtilize several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and coolingMaintain the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacementsOversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractorsComplete maintenance and repair records as requiredOrder necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasksRespond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as neededPerform other duties as assignedComputer and mobile app efficiencyAbility to write routine reports and correspondence in a timely and routine mannerFollow all company policies and proceduresMay coordinate work and assign tasksNo formal supervisory responsibilities in this positionQualificationsWhat does it take be successful at SCM?An ownership mentality (“We treat it like we own it.”)Minimum of 2-3 years' experience performing commercial maintenance on office and retail buildings (no multi-family/apartment complexes, please)Knowledge of, and experience with electrical, HVAC, roofing, fire alarms, plumbing, lighting, preventive maintenance, and outside contractorsA problem solver; you take initiative to make decisions that are in the best interest of the company, our tenants, and the landlordPersonal vehicleWhat we offerHealth Insurance (HSA and PPO plan available; company pays 75% of the employee's premium)Vision Insurance$15,000 Basic Life Insurance (company-paid)#J-18808-Ljbffr
