    Description

    Position Overview: Responsible for maintaining and repairing major pieces of hotel equipment, provide guest service, and be one of the hotel's first responders in emergency situations. This role will support the Engineering leadership team.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain all refrigeration equipment in the building.Maintain all HVAC equipment in the building (guestrooms, public areas, function rooms).Maintain all kitchen equipment in the building.Maintain all laundry equipment in the building.Provide technical assistance to other engineers as necessary.Work on other projects as needed.Maintain inventory and order all equipment supplies.Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.Maintain all equipment according to the equipment preventive maintenance program.Make all repairs according to manufacturer specifications.Maintain engineering shops.Maintain engineering inventory.Complete other tasks as assigned by management.QualificationsPrevious maintenance experience required, hotel experience and training preferred. Minimum of two years of hotel and/or commercial building maintenance required.608 HVAC license preferred.Electrical Journeyman License preferred.One year of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment experience required; commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.Previous experience with response to emergency situations required.Good communication, attention to detail, time management, computer, and guest satisfaction skills required.The ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.The ability to bend, reach overhead, squat, and kneel for extended periods of time.The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.The ability to utilize step stools and ladders.Must be able to work AM, PM, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
