4 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsTitle: Maintenance Engineer IDepartment: EngineeringReports To: Chief EngineerExpected Pay : $19/hour, non-exemptMaintenance Engineer Job Summary:The Maintenance Engineer I is responsible for carrying out the repair, maintenance and installation of all machinery, mechanical equipment and physical building involved in the overall operations of Kentucky Performing Arts as directed by the Chief Engineer.Maintenance Engineer Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Supports the mission, vision, and values of Kentucky Performing Arts while understanding and complying with company expectations, policies, and procedures.Adapts well to changing priorities, deadlines, and directions with a positive and open mindset. Communicates clearly, consistently, respectfully, and collaboratively when communicating on behalf of KPA.Participates in all appropriate internal and external meetings, as well as professional development programs to maintain competency and increase acumen.Effectively manages financial and physical resources to achieve the mission and goals of KPA.Performs routine preventative maintenance.Cleans, vacuums, mops, etc. all areas after work has been performed so as to maintain building cleanliness.Prepares the various theaters and support spaces for upcoming events.Observes and adheres to applicable safety rules and practices of Kentucky Performing Arts.Undergoes training on the following: computer controlled mechanical systems Best Lock Systems, plumbing, HVAC and A.H.U. systems.Assist with troubleshooting and/or installing mechanical or electrical equipment.Assist with dismantling, repairing, and aligning machinery and mechanical equipment as needed.Assist in setting-up, operating, rigging, etc. for special jobs requiring mechanical skills.Safely and properly operates all mechanical equipment associated with Center maintenance operations (both hand and power tools).Reads and understands blueprints, sketches, weights, measures and equipment manuals.Possesses an understanding the use of Electric Arc, M.I.G., T.I.G. and acetylene welding.
