Aspirus in Chippewa Falls, WI is seeking a MAINTENANCE/ ENVIRONMENT OF CARE COORDINATOR to join our MAINTENANCE team!

The Maintenance/ Environment of Care Coordinator participates in all aspects of Aspirus safety program both independently and in conjunction with safety professionals (depending on the scope of the assignment). May serve as a Chairperson of the Environment of Care (EOC) Committee and is responsible for the standards controlled by various regulating bodies as identified within Joint Commissions EOC scope of Environmental Safety and assures coordination of reporting to EOC Committee of Safety, Security, Medical Equipment, Fire Safety / Life Safety, Utilities and Hazardous Materials. Ensures that EOC rounds are completed and in compliance with all regulating bodies. Assists with fire drills as needed. EOC Coordinator will work to promote a safe, secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital, along with other designated Aspirus facilities.

HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. Day shift.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of Environment of Care / safety processes normally acquired through Associates or Bachelor''s Degree in a life science, safety, or related field
• 5 years'' experience in a management or supervisory position in a healthcare facility in either maintenance or plant operations. This knowledge may also be gained through 10 years of experience in the building/construction trade with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
• Knowledge of government regulations and codes acquired with 3-5 years of work-related experience and Joint Commission or OSHA compliance training related to healthcare.
• Experience in supervision, purchasing and computers, or additional education in supervision are beneficial, along with any technical/engineering certification.
• Safety experience and/or interest in a health care setting and/or environmental issues.

Knowledge of TJC, NFPA, WI DPH, EPA, WI DNR and other health care related standards and codes.

• Possesses excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize, the ability to work independently and report to a Manager, accuracy and timeliness in all work products, and related work experience to develop and enhance skills.

• Possesses effective decision-making skills, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrates organization and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Possesses excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Possesses problem-solving skills.

• Computer literacy required in Microsoft Office and relative to other software programs utilized at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, as well as department specific program requirements.

• Possess excellent critical thinking skills to comprehend issues that may arise and find appropriate resolution.

• Possesses a valid Wisconsin Driver''s License required.

Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic is scheduled to open in September of 2026.
