This includes ensuring the safety, comfort, and\n \nfunctionality of all infrastructure (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, air quality) and grounds. The Director\n \nmanages internal custodial and housekeeping teams, oversees external vendors, and coordinates\n \nfacility improvements to support the educational mission of the school.\n \n+\u2212\n \nZone 3\n \nGrades\n \nK\u201312\n \nCategory\n \nCustodial \n \nAdditional Information\n \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\n Technical Expertise: Functional knowledge of building trades; HVAC certification or significant experience is highly preferred.\n Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical staff and administrators with diplomacy and clarity.\n Conflict Resolution: Strong interpersonal skills to manage employee relations and resolve issues professionally.\n Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to master school-specific software for work orders, HVAC monitoring, and payroll.\n Confidentiality & Ethics: Absolute adherence to school confidentiality policies and federal/state privacy guidelines.\n \nMinimum Qualifications\n\n Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field. Previous supervisory experience is required.\n Education: 2 years of related college coursework OR 5 years of equivalent professional experience in a leadership capacity.\n Physical Requirements: Ability to perform moderate lifting, carrying, and stooping. Position involves a mix of office-based administrative tasks and active on-site inspections/oversight.\n Clearances: Must pass a comprehensive background check (State, Federal, DHHS) and required drug testing.\n \nSalary\n \nSalary is competitive and commensurate with experience and technical certifications.
