    Description

    Company Overview:

    MBI Direct Mail + Digital, Inc., a leader in the direct mail and digital marketing industry, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance &Facilities Lead to oversee the maintenance, performance, and reliability of our production facility and equipment.

    Position Summary: 

    This role is ideal for an individual who brings a strong combination of machining expertise, mechanical knowledge, and leadership skills. The Facilities Lead will play a critical role in ensuring all facility systems and production equipment operate efficiently while minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization.

    This is a hands-on position that requires troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment while collaborating with leadership, production, and outside vendors to support operational excellence.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform and coordinate facility and maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, and building systems.

    • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, including presses, mailing equipment, and finishing machinery.

    • Utilize machining and fabrication skills to modify, repair, or manufacture custom parts as needed.

    • Assist in developing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

    • Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with production teams to minimize operational disruptions.

    • Work with outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs or services are required.

    • Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and maintenance-related projects.

    • Monitor equipment performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Maintain compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.

    • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and facility personnel when needed.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in a Facilities Lead, Maintenance Lead, Senior Maintenance Technician, or similar role.

    • Strong background in machining, fabrication, and mechanical repair.

    • Experience maintaining industrial production equipment (printing, mailing, or manufacturing environments preferred).

    • Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and basic electrical systems.

    • Proficiency with hand tools, shop equipment (lathes, mills, etc.), and maintenance systems.

    • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to lift equipment and perform hands-on maintenance tasks as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in the printing, direct mail, or manufacturing industry.

    • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and best practices.

    • Experience working with facility systems and industrial production equipment.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    Hourly 26.00 - 33.00
