The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Manager for our New Albany, Ohio based operations. In this role you will be responsible for oversight, support, and maintenance of the manufacturing plant and surrounding property, equipment, and safety systems for two manufacturing/warehouse facilities located 1 mile apart. You will manage an operating budget and multiple project initiatives, while ensuring reliable and predictable performance of systems supporting the production operation. 

The Location

We are located at 8860 Smith's Mill Road, New Albany, OH 43054. This is an onsite position.

Additional Job Details
  • Achieve established unplanned downtime performance for all production and facility equipment required to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop all maintenance and care procedures for equipment and ensure proper implementation.
  • Develop and implement a fully functional preventative maintenance program.
  • Evaluate and implement predictive maintenance techniques where applicable.
  • Ensure that all critical and necessary spare parts are identified and stocked at sufficient levels to support the downtime targets.
  • Hire, develop and maintain the premier staff. Manage employee development with training and career planning.
  • Ensure full utilization of the CMMS for tracking of work, parts, and equipment history
  • Support development of request for quotations (RFQ’s), bid sheets and contracts for equipment and facility upgrades as a subject matter expert (SME), and as the “customer” for equipment and facility projects.
  • Support project management in the acquisition, implementation, and qualification of plant improvement initiatives as SME or site services.
  • Define and optimize equipment set-up, run, and maintenance procedures.
  • Make recommendations and provide insights into plant layout and equipment and facility projects to improve plant operations.
  • Supervise and direct activities of maintenance team.
  • Provide leadership in identifying cost saving opportunities in equipment and facilities related processes.
Required Qualifications
  • BS degree in Business, Operations Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
    • Alternative combinations of degrees, certifications and work experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in a maintenance function
  • Experience working contracting with third party contractors and suppliers
  • 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities for equipment, facilities, and safety support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to develop and implement facility and equipment solutions that reduce cost, improve efficiency, and ensure alignment with local, federal, and company safety standards.
  • Effective Communicator, both oral and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze multiple variables and define practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with HVAC systems, automated process equipment, engineering, and maintenance principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise supporting personnel, and work cross-functionally at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain safety programs that affect the maintenance department.
  • PC skills to include at minimum Microsoft Office, and hands on usage of a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Experience in developing and managing annual spending budget / plan.
