The Maintenance & Facilities Team Members are responsible for maintaining an exceptionally clean, safe, and fully operational restaurant environment, both inside and outside the building. This role serves as the primary steward of the restaurant's facility and equipment, ensuring the restaurant is operating at peak performance every day.
This position has three primary areas of responsibility:
The Maintenance & Facilities Team Members play a critical behind-the-scenes leadership role by protecting the restaurant's physical assets, ensuring a clean restaurant every day, minimizing equipment downtime, maintaining preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring the facility is always prepared to deliver Second Mile Service to both guests and team members.
Restaurant and Equipment Maintenance & Facility Management
Deep Cleaning & Floor Care (Primary Focus)
· Perform nightly deep cleaning of all floor surfaces including dining room, kitchen, restrooms, hallways, storage areas, and walk-in coolers.
· Operate floor scrubbers, mops, degreasers, and buffers to remove buildup and maintain slip-resistant surfaces.
· Detail floors on a scheduled basis to preserve appearance and safety.
· Ensure floor drains, baseboards, corners, and hard-to-reach areas are thoroughly cleaned.
· Take pride in leaving the restaurant noticeably cleaner than you found it.
Restaurant Deep Cleaning & Sanitation
· Clean and sanitize restrooms, and back-of-house spaces to Chick-fil-A standards.
· Deep clean kitchen equipment exteriors, walls, doors, shelving, and storage areas.
· Remove trash and recycling and ensure proper disposal at the end of each shift.
· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.

Qualifications & Expectations
Required
· Availability to work evening or night shifts. Consistent work schedule and must be able to work 6 nights a week, typically between 9 PM and 3 AM
· Strong work ethic with attention to detail and consistency
· Ability to perform physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
· Commitment to Chick-fil-A Ironwood values, cleanliness standards, and teamwork.
· Will work with a team of two to three individuals.
Preferred
· Experience with commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services.
· Familiarity with floor care equipment such as scrubbers and buffers.
· Experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities cleaning, facilities management, or restaurant maintenance.
· Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and commercial kitchen equipment.
· Experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical equipment.
· Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
· Experience coordinating repairs with outside contractors and service providers.
· EPA, HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or related maintenance certifications are not required, but will be considered a strong asset.
· Experience with preventative maintenance programs and equipment documentation.
· Familiarity with floor care equipment such as commercial scrubbers and buffers.
