Overview: This position is responsible for supporting the reliability, uptime, and safe operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The role is primarily focused on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and repairs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The technician will also assist with facility maintenance and building upkeep.

This position is designed for a technician looking to continue developing their industrial maintenance skills while working alongside experienced maintenance professionals.

Experience Requirements: 2+ years of industrial maintenance, mechanical maintenance, automotive maintenance, military maintenance, or related technical experience preferred. Equivalent technical education or trade school training will also be considered.

    Shift Available: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am.

            Training Shift: TBD.

                              Pay: $20.00-$32.50/hour based on experience.

                              What you'll do:

                              Maintenance & Equipment Reliability (~85%)

                              • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment, including printing presses, finishing equipment, and other manufacturing machinery.
                              • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment with support from senior technicians as needed.
                              • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support requests to minimize downtime.
                              • Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before equipment failures occur.
                              • Assist with equipment installations, equipment upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
                              • Read and interpret equipment manuals, basic electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
                              • Utilize the company's maintenance software to complete work orders, document repairs, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
                              • Maintain accurate equipment history and maintenance records.
                              • Monitor maintenance parts inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
                              • Maintain an organized maintenance shop, tools, and spare parts inventory.

                              Facilities Maintenance (~15%)

                              • Perform general building maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, lighting, and facility repairs.
                              • Assists with maintenance of facility systems such as air compressors, overhead doors, dock equipment, and other building infrastructure.
                              • Respond to facility-related maintenance requests.
                              • Support outside contractors when specialized repairs or services are required.
                              • Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and professional facility environment.

                                  Desired Traits/Requirements:

                                  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
                                  • Basic troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
                                  • Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment is preferred but not required.
                                  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and basic electrical schematics.
                                  • Understanding of preventive maintenance principles.
                                  • Ability to use computers and Microsoft Office applications.
                                  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
                                  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
                                  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

                                  Education Requirements

                                  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
                                  • Technical school, vocational training, or an Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field is preferred.
                                  • Relevant certifications are a plus but not required.

                                  Physical Demands:

                                  • The employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms.
                                  • The employee frequently uses hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
                                  • The employee is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
                                  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds regularly, with or without assistance.
