Maintenance Field Technician

Summary:

As a Maintenance Field Technician at Team Lyders, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining kitchen equipment while conducting minor building repairs at designated restaurants. This role ensures that assigned locations remain in a safe, functional, and marketable condition while complying with state and federal accessibility standards.

The Day-to-Day

Maintain Equipment & Facilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment and building systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Perform minor building repairs to keep facilities in top condition.
  • Maintain van parts inventory and central warehouse tools and supplies.
  • Process work orders submitted by restaurant teams and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Ensure Compliance & Communication

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with managers and supervisors regarding service activities.
  • Track and record completed repairs in the facility tracking system.

Is This You?

  • High school diploma or GED minimum.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with restaurant equipment.
  • Mechanical experience with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using a computer for tracking repairs and inventory.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to be on-call and work overtime as needed.
  • Must pass a MVR and background check.

Regularly required to:

  • Remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Talk and hear, verbally expressing ideas and important instructions.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel; type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp, or turn with hands.
  • Perceive attributes of objects and materials, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touch.

Frequently required to:

  • Walk about.
  • Maintain balance while walking, standing, crouching, or running.
  • Reach up and out with hands and arms.
  • Lift and push/pull up to 40 pounds over a distance of 20 feet.

Occasionally required to:

  • Climb stairs or ladders.
  • Twist the upper torso.
  • Stand for long periods without a break.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds over a distance of 15 feet.

Work Environment

The employee is regularly exposed to both indoor and outdoor conditions with a moderate noise level. Indoor conditions may also include exposure to heat, cold, water, cleaning chemicals, grease, and oil.
