We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented maintenance professional full-time to support the daily operations of an assisted living community. In this role, you will help ensure the facility remains safe, comfortable, and well maintained for residents, visitors, and team members. The ideal candidate is proactive, service-minded, and able to respond to a variety of routine repairs and preventive maintenance needs with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the facility, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic HVAC-related duties.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues and safety concerns.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on equipment, systems, and fixtures according to schedule.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and address issues in a timely, courteous manner.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and functional common areas, resident spaces, and exterior grounds as needed.
  • Assist with furniture moves, room setup, and equipment installation or replacement.
  • Monitor supplies and materials, and communicate inventory needs to the appropriate team member.
  • Follow facility procedures related to safety, emergency response, and infection control.
  • Document completed work, repairs, and recurring issues accurately.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors or contractors when specialized service is required.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience in a healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or similar environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic repair methods across multiple maintenance areas.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and complete tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed for the role.
  • Comfortable working in a resident-focused environment with professionalism and respect.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems.
  • Knowledge of building safety standards and facility compliance practices.
  • Experience supporting emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and proper safety practices.
