Our Blood Institute is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance & Fleet Technician to support the upkeep and operation of our Tulsa facilities, vehicles, and equipment used in daily operations. This role is critical to ensuring smooth daily operations for both mobile and stationary blood collection and distribution.

We're looking for someone with hands-on experience and a strong mechanical aptitude who can troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a wide range of systems and equipment. Must have basic knowledge of electricity and mechanical devices. This position requires a high school diploma/GED and must have a CDL.

Location: Tulsa, OK

Pay: Competitive pay based on education and/or experience plus shift differential and holiday pay; tenure bonuses, employee referral bonuses

Days: Monday through Friday

Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; may vary

Primary Responsibilities:

Facilities

  • Use and update a work order system for all requests of the center
  • Perform checks of facility, grounds and parking lots and report deficiencies
  • Inspect for damaged ceiling tiles as needed
  • Inspect for or repair light fixtures
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical issues
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks (sinks, toilets, drains, etc.)
  • Perform basic inspection of facility roofs as needed
  • Interact with other departments to understand needs and accomplish tasks
  • All other duties as assigned

Fleet

  • Provide total vehicle maintenance of fleet
  • Track daily vehicle repairs, pending and completed
  • Maintain accurate records of usage, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for all vehicles
  • See that all vehicles are kept in proper running order and complete appropriate inspections in a timely manner (including inspection of external lights and trailer lights for vehicles being used on a weekly basis)
  • Make recommendations on vehicle replacement/repair decisions
  • Performs and/or monitors the completion of scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance actions
  • Ensures vehicle maintenance and parts invoices are approved and routed for payment on a weekly basis
  • Evaluate the most cost-effective method to complete vehicle repairs, internal or external
  • Make recommendations or ideas of vendors and service providers
  • Working knowledge of basic tools
  • All other duties as assigned
