We are seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician I to support plant maintenance operations. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with tools, equipment, and machinery and wants to develop a long-term career in industrial maintenance. The role does not require advanced electrical or PLC experience but demands a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in maintenance and repair work. We provide on-the-job training and are looking for someone who is dependable, coachable, and a strong cultural fit for the team.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
+ Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns.
+ Grease bearings and maintain lubrication schedules.
+ Change air filters and perform routine maintenance checks.
+ Assist with packing replacements and minor mechanical repairs.
+ Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment and production areas.
+ Monitor silos and related equipment for leaks or operational issues.
+ Assist senior maintenance technicians with repairs and troubleshooting.
+ Install and maintain miscellaneous facility items such as whiteboards, fixtures, and other plant improvements.
+ Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company CMMS/computerized maintenance system.
+ Follow all safety procedures and plant policies.
+ Keep work areas clean and organized.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working on vehicles, engines, equipment, machinery, or mechanical projects.
+ Backyard mechanic, automotive hobbyist, vocational training, trade school, or related hands-on experience.
+ Manufacturing, mechanic helper, construction, automotive, agricultural, or industrial experience.
+ Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.

Work Environment
Work hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime. The role is based in a manufacturing environment where you will need to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout your shift.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
