     Job Description:

    Maintenance Helper 

    Location: Oxford, NC

    Pay: Based on experience

    Overview:
    We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Helper to support the Maintenance Team in keeping all production equipment and facility systems running safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, conveyors, mixers, baggers, and forklifts.

    • Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning motors, replacing belts, and checking fluid levels.

    • Help with facility upkeep including minor repairs, painting, organizing supplies, and maintaining safe work areas.

    • Use hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical or mechanical equipment under supervision.

    • Support equipment changeovers, setups, and adjustments during production runs.

    • Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper PPE requirements.

    • Document completed work and assist with maintaining maintenance logs.

    • Respond to maintenance calls on the production floor as directed by the lead or supervisor.

    • Assist with inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in maintenance, general labor, or mechanical work preferred but not required.

    • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.

    • Willingness to learn mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

    • Reliable, team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.

    • Must be able to work in dusty, noisy, and warm environments typical of a production facility.
