Maintenance Helper Job Overview

Are you mechanically inclined and looking to grow your career in industrial maintenance? We are hiring a Maintenance Helper to support our maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with maintenance experience who enjoy troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and working with mechanical systems.
As a Maintenance Helper, you will assist with maintaining production equipment, conveyor systems, pneumatic systems, hydraulic components, and facility equipment to help ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday
• 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Four-day workweek
• Overtime opportunities available on Saturdays

Enjoy a consistent schedule with three-day weekends and opportunities to increase earnings through overtime.

Maintenance Helper Responsibilities

As a member of the maintenance team, you will:

• Assist Maintenance Technicians with equipment troubleshooting and repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on manufacturing and production equipment
• Repair and replace air lines, hoses, fittings, and pneumatic components
• Assist with conveyor system installation, maintenance, and repairs
• Work with hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic cylinders, and related systems
• Troubleshoot and replace proximity sensors and machine components
• Assist in maintaining adhesive applicators and production machinery
• Perform basic plumbing, mechanical, and facility maintenance repairs
• Support maintenance of dust collection systems and equipment
• Perform basic woodworking and fabrication projects as needed
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support emergency repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and company policies
• Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Complete additional maintenance-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to perform physically demanding maintenance tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience
• Manufacturing maintenance or industrial maintenance experience
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical equipment
• Experience working with conveyors, sensors, cylinders, and production machinery
• Familiarity with facility maintenance and industrial equipment repair
