Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
At Nucor, safety is our top priority. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can uphold our safety standards while effectively supporting our operations.
Safety First: Lead by example in always following and promoting safety policies and procedures
Maintenance of processing equipment, to include cleaning as needed:
Help identify worn, damaged, or unsafe equipment conditions
Assist with welding, cutting, fabrication, and mechanical repairs as needed
Perform hands-on maintenance and repair work on shredder-related equipment
Team Collaboration: Support fellow team members and assist with various tasks as needed to achieve our goals.
Customer Service: Assist and guide customers to the appropriate locations for unloading materials.
Pay starts at $20-$24
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of experience in working outdoors.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with teammates and customers.
Ability to work well in a team setting.
Monday to Friday: 6 AM - 4 PM- Occasional Saturdays: 6 AM - 12 PM (as needed during critical repairs and maintenance)
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with heavy equipment and manufacturing is preferred.
Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
