- At Nucor, safety is our top priority. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can uphold our safety standards while effectively supporting our operations.
- Safety First: Lead by example in always following and promoting safety policies and procedures
- Maintenance of processing equipment, to include cleaning as needed:
- Help identify worn, damaged, or unsafe equipment conditions
- Assist with welding, cutting, fabrication, and mechanical repairs as needed
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repair work on shredder-related equipment
- Team Collaboration: Support fellow team members and assist with various tasks as needed to achieve our goals.
- Customer Service: Assist and guide customers to the appropriate locations for unloading materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in working outdoors.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with teammates and customers.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Monday to Friday: 6 AM - 4 PM- Occasional Saturdays: 6 AM - 12 PM (as needed during critical repairs and maintenance)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with heavy equipment and manufacturing is preferred.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
