    Description

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Diagnose basic problems of inoperative equipment or faulty conditions.

    Repair or recommend repair of equipment with faulty properties.

    Read basic blueprints and equipment manuals.

    Perform preventative maintenance as required.

    Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Checks/adds oil to presses.

    Reclaims oil.

    Assists Maintenance II and III with maintenance repairs.

    Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ability to contribute to the success of the team

    Ability to work independently or in a team environment

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    High school diploma

    6 months to 2 years general maintenance

    Basic troubleshooting and problem solving

    Basic verbal and written communication skills required

    Understanding of basic shop mathematics to prepare/analyze figures

    Understanding of basic processes of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical theory

    Be capable of building repair and maintenance.

    Be capable of assisting with repair and maintenance of production equipment

    Ability to multi-task

    Forklift experience

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Heavy physical effort such as lifting, bending, carrying of up to 50 pounds

    Lifting from floor to waist/waist to shoulder

    Prolonged standing/walking

    Pushing/Pulling forces up to and over 40 pounds

    Repetitive motion and occasional awkward postures of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck

    Frequent forceful hand grasp

    Occasional bending/twisting/crouching and squatting

    Reaching below/over shoulder and overhead

    Occasional reaching/lifting while holding objects weighing 10 pounds

    Frequent climbing of ladders/scaffolds/step stools/ramps/stairs and unguarded heights

    Seeing to visually inspect, measure/assemble at close distance

    Able to distinguish colors

    Frequent use of power tools, machinery and machinery that produces excessive heat

    WORK ENVIRONMENT/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

    Frequent exposure to dangerous machinery

    Exposure to extreme weather conditions

    Occasional potential of physical harm

    Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals/fumes/gases/smoke/dust/wet and damp areas

    Occasional exposure to extreme heights

    Exposure to high noise level, dark environments with dim lighting and bright environments or lighting

    SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
