Spirit of the Position: The LAZ Utilities/Janitorial Associate plays a vital role in ensuring our airport facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for all guests and employees. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning, upkeep, and utility duties throughout the airport's parking and common areas.
Principal Job Duties:
Maintaining HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning)Electrical inspections and light replacementChecking generators and power systemsPreventive maintenance on equipment 800, 7400 (2) walk behinds, snow blowersRepairing walls, ceilings, fencing and floorsFixing doors, locks, and windowsPainting and patching damaged areasRepairing walls, ceilings, and floorsFixing doors, locks, roofs and windowsPainting and patching damaged areasMaintaining parking lots and garagesPot holesSnow removal, salting, and outdoor lightingStoring signs and barrels Ordering janitorial suppliesAble to lift 60 lbsMinor Landscaping
Requirements:
Previous janitorial, custodial, or general maintenance experience preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Must pass required background checks and airport security clearance processes
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, kneeling, and walking for extended periods
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including inclement weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
