Your mission
Power the reliability of the machines that power discovery. As the Maintenance Lead for plastics processing and CNC systems at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences (one of Danaher’s operating companies), you will drive the shift from reactive fixes to a disciplined, proactive maintenance system that keeps our Indianapolis manufacturing operations running at peak performance.
How you’ll create impact
- Elevate equipment uptime and reliability across injection molding, blow molding, automation/robotics, CNC machining, instrument assembly, centrifuge assembly, and final test.
- Lead a skilled technician team: set daily priorities, allocate work, mentor for safety, quality, and craftsmanship, and measure results.
- Use data to spotlight risks, trends, and opportunities; present clear actions to leadership to improve downtime, PM compliance, and productivity.
About you
- Education/experience: High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years; or Bachelor’s with 5+ years; or Master’s with 3+ years.
- Systems fluency: instrumentation and equipment design/integration—complex electro-mechanical assemblies, fluid handling, pneumatics, thermal, and optical systems.
- Technical depth: troubleshooting and maintaining CNC and injection/blow molding equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic domains; proven leadership and workflow orchestration.
Work setup
- Location: Indianapolis, IN (reports to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing/Process Engineering).
- On-site role with cross-functional partnership across Engineering, Operations, and Quality.
Physical/Environmental
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts.
- Lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lb.
Preferred
- CMMS scheduling and execution for planned/unplanned work orders, preventive maintenance, and flow efficiency improvements across multiple areas.
