Job Opportunity in Defiance, OH
Join our team to oversee the maintenance of facility machinery, aligning team objectives with departmental goals. Foster strong relationships with the Production team to ensure reliable processes and contribute to the plant's competitiveness, impacting profitability, efficiency, cost management, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
  • Promote a safe work culture and adhere to safety standards.
  • Exhibit leadership skills: accountability, credibility, and trust.
  • Ensure coaching, discipline, and recognition align with HR policy.
  • Develop maintenance personnel for team strength.
  • Conduct performance appraisals for staff.
  • Promote CMMS system usage for team guidance.
  • Enhance team growth through root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
  • Improve maintenance metrics like unplanned downtime and costs.
  • Champion asset availability and reliability.
  • Utilize vendor services for quality and reliability improvements.
  • Manage engineers to boost equipment availability.
  • Support plant reliability and develop staffing plans.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • 10 years of maintenance experience.
  • 3-5 years in a Supervisory role.
  • Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance functions.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
