Maintenance Manager

We have partnered with a Global Manufacturer in the Cincinnati OH area to lead a search for their Maintenance Manager.

Position Description:

Responsible for overall supervision and coordination of Maintenance employee activities related to the setup, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure safe operation of the plant.

Must Have's:

5+ years' experience as a Maintenance Manager in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Operational responsibility for the Maintenance Department. Directs and leads the department to meet objectives:

Work as part of a multi-discipline team to observe machine/line performance and identify issues and opportunities for improvement.

Develop and maintain data, calculations, estimates, schedules, correspondence, and files in accordance with permanent records for projects.

Work with manufacturing plant electricians and mechanics to assist with day-to-day equipment troubleshooting including electrical, mechanical and process related issues.

Communicate issues/findings from downtime events with plant leadership and assist in developing long term strategy for correcting issues.

Support automation hardware and software within the plant including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interface (HMIs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), industrial networks and other various electrical systems.

Work with Operations group and plant leadership to ensure line controls are properly balanced for optimal performance.

Maintain and update plant Line Information System (LIS) to ensure it is accurately reporting OE data.

Support manufacturing plant operations, including helping troubleshoot local issues, collaborating with vendors to support installs/updates and interfacing with IT.

Manage capital projects and new equipment installations, including scoping projects, submitting requests for appropriations, Request for Approval (RFA), coordinating and supervising vendors and interfacing with plant leadership.

Assist with developing long term capital improvement plans.

Other projects or duties as assigned by Maintenance and Operations leadership.

Keeps detailed and accurate records: including but not limited to: maintenance, PM, vendor and employee training.

Negotiates and oversees service contracts and technical contractors performing repairs on equipment or the building and property.

Assists in evaluation and projects the impact of new technology on the department budget.

Evaluates equipment and determines preventative maintenance action and safety procedures.
