Maintenance Manager

Do you enjoy troubleshooting problems, fixing things with your own hands, and keeping a building running the way it should?

Pyramid Healthcare is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to take the lead on maintaining our inpatient facility in Hedgesville.

This is a working maintenance leadership position — you’ll help manage the maintenance team, but you’ll also be involved in repairs, troubleshooting, projects, and keeping the property in great shape.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day work will include things like:

• Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, heating, refrigeration, and laundry equipment.
• ️ Handling routine repairs and preventive maintenance before small problems become big ones.
• Keeping the building, equipment, and grounds safe, functional, and well maintained.
• Responding to urgent repairs and facility emergencies when needed.
• ️ Maintaining and monitoring building systems and equipment.
• Overseeing landscaping, snow removal, and exterior maintenance.
• Coordinating outside contractors and vendors when a job requires specialized work.
• ️ Helping plan and oversee remodeling, renovations, and construction projects.
• Ordering parts, tools, supplies, and materials needed to get the job done.
• Keeping up with work orders, inspections, maintenance records, and equipment inventories.
• Scheduling, coaching, and supervising maintenance and grounds staff.
• Looking for ways to prevent recurring problems, improve the facility, and save money.

What Makes Someone Successful Here?

We're looking for someone who knows maintenance from the ground up.

You should be comfortable picking up a tool, diagnosing a problem, figuring out what needs to be done, and either making the repair yourself or getting the right person on the job.

You'll ideally have experience with:

• Plumbing
• Electrical systems
• HVAC/heating
• General building maintenance
• Preventive maintenance
• Equipment repair
• Working with contractors and vendors
• Leading or supervising other maintenance employees

Experience with budgets, construction projects, remodeling, or facility management is a plus.

A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
