Maintenance Manager

The company currently operates 32 manufacturing facilities in 19 countries worldwide with plans to further expand globally through mergers and acquisitions.  Position Summary:The Maintenance Manager directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in corrective and preventive maintenance of production machines, tools, equipment and maintains buildings, grounds and utility systems. Specific Responsibilities:Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.Coordinates activities of workers by fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.Oversees preventive maintenance program.Reviews production and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.Maintains TS compliance with proper documentation and record keeping.Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications evaluates most cost-effective methods of automation.Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.Purchases parts, equipment, and other materials needed to keep machines running while at the same time meeting budget P&L concerns. Collaborate with management to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.Supports the safety program at the facility. Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.Knowledge of TS and ISO 14001Other duties may be assigned.Qualifications: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and minimum 3 years supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of control circuits, process controls, plant electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and operation of machine tools. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
