Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift

Compensation: Approximately $110,000–$150,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus a 10% management bonus

HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Manager for a chemical manufacturing facility in Middletown, OH. The current manager has been promoted, and this person will step into a well-run department with an experienced team, an established preventive maintenance program, and equipment that has been maintained well.

This is a visible, hands-on leadership role. The right person will spend time on the plant floor, support the team through technical issues, and make practical improvements that keep the facility running safely and reliably.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the maintenance team, including maintenance employees, a maintenance supervisor, a continuous improvement engineer, and the third-party storeroom contractor.
• Oversee daily maintenance work, planning, scheduling, and the preventive maintenance program.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause investigations, with a strong focus on rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors.
• Help diagnose electrical and automation issues, including 480V equipment, single- and three-phase motors, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Manage the maintenance budget, track performance metrics, and identify opportunities to improve reliability and control costs.
• Lead smaller maintenance-focused capital projects, including equipment replacement, decommissioning, and commissioning.
• Maintain equipment records, drawings, job plans, lockout/tagout procedures, and mechanical integrity documentation.
• Ensure maintenance work and contractors meet plant safety and regulatory requirements.
• Coach and develop the team while giving experienced employees room to do their jobs.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 10 years of industrial experience, including strong maintenance leadership experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred. Candidates without the degree may be considered if they have direct maintenance leadership experience in a PSM-regulated facility.
• Strong working knowledge of rotating equipment, particularly pumps and compressors.
• Experience troubleshooting 480V electrical systems and single- and three-phase motors. You do not need to be an industrial electrician, but you should be able to help diagnose electrical problems and guide repairs.
• Exposure to PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics. PLC programming and DeltaV experience are not required.
• Experience leading people, managing budgets, and working with maintenance systems and preventive maintenance programs.
• A leadership style that is present on the floor, supportive, and comfortable working with an established team.

Chemical manufacturing experience is valuable, but candidates from other industrial environments will be considered if they bring strong leadership and relevant technical experience.
