We are partnering with a leading international furniture manufacturer to support the launch of its first U.S.-based production facility, with operations beginning in late 2025. This state-of-the-art, highly automated and robotics-driven plant will employ over 250 professionals and produce high-quality products for millions of homes across the country.
This is a unique opportunity to join a greenfield operation and play a key leadership role in building maintenance strategy, systems, and team culture from the ground up.

Position Overview
The Maintenance Manager will lead all aspects of equipment and facility maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role is responsible for maintenance planning, budgeting, and team leadership, while also managing subcontractors and supporting new equipment development projects.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise along with strategic thinking and leadership capability to drive uptime, productivity, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
  • Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Track equipment performance metrics and implement improvements
Facility Engineering & Infrastructure
  • Oversee maintenance of building systems including HVAC, utilities, and plumbing
  • Lead facility upgrades and capital improvement projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Coordinate inspections, documentation, and regulatory audits
Equipment Development & Project Support
  • Collaborate with vendors and engineering teams on equipment design, installation, and commissioning
  • Support new equipment development and technology upgrades
  • Provide maintenance input to improve lifecycle cost efficiency
Planning, Budgeting & Resource Management
  • Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget (labor, materials, capital)
  • Optimize maintenance costs through planning and cost control
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and safety standards
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and planners
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs
  • Foster strong collaboration across maintenance, production, and other departments
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in maintenance leadership within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, projects, and external vendors
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in highly automated or robotics-driven environments preferred
