Maintenance Manager – OCTG Pipe Processing (multi-site)
Longview, TX area (Relocation Available)

A leading manufacturer in the Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) industry is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across multiple pipe processing facilities in East Texas.

This role oversees electrical and mechanical maintenance for heat treatment, inspection, and pipe processing equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and operational uptime across three facilities.

This is a player-coach leadership role responsible for managing maintenance technicians while remaining actively involved in troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Lead maintenance operations across three OCTG processing buildings
Supervise and develop 5–6 maintenance technicians
Oversee maintenance for high-voltage electrical systems and heat treatment equipment
Ensure reliability of pipe processing, inspection, and finishing equipment
Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, PLCs, motors, and controls
Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Support plant operations to maximize uptime, throughput, and safety
Partner with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
Manage maintenance planning, parts inventory, and contractor support when required

Required Experience
8+ years industrial maintenance experience
3+ years leadership or supervisory experience
Experience in OCTG, steel pipe, or heavy industrial manufacturing
Strong experience with high-voltage electrical systems
Experience supporting heat treatment furnaces or thermal processing equipment
Experience with industrial inspection equipment (NDT, UT, etc.) preferred
Hands-on troubleshooting of motors, drives, PLCs, and industrial automation

Preferred Background
OCTG pipe manufacturing
Steel pipe processing
Tube mills or heat treat facilities
Oil & gas manufacturing environments
