Job Description: Swimming Pool Maintenance Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Swimming Pool Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our swimming facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all pool users by effectively managing maintenance staff, scheduling, and compliance with health regulations.

Key Responsibilities  
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate a maintenance team to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality in all pool maintenance tasks, setting a strong example through work ethic and integrity.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of pool facilities and equipment to guarantee cleanliness and compliance with health standards, effectively addressing any customer reports in accordance with company procedures.
  • Chemical Management: Oversee the testing and balancing of water chemistry, maintaining accurate records and ensuring optimal chemical levels for safe swimming conditions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Manage the repair and upkeep of pool equipment and systems, ensuring all devices function correctly and meet required standards.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor new maintenance technicians while nurturing their growth through ongoing education and support to enhance the team's skills, safety, and knowledge.
  • Sales and Customer Engagement: Drive sales by identifying and addressing issues with customer pools, providing effective solutions to enhance satisfaction and retention.
  • Operational Scheduling: Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule, collaborating with PoolOps and technicians to optimize efficiency and route planning, including managing new account setups.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Act as the liaison for maintenance issues, addressing and resolving technical problems quickly and effectively to maintain smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications  
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience supervising or managing employees.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Langelier Saturation Index (LSI); educate staff to ensure customer pools are balanced appropriately.
  • Certification must include Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
  • Proven experience in pool maintenance, management, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of pool maintenance equipment, chemistry, and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Working Conditions  
  • Primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor.
  • Exposure to chemicals used in pool maintenance.
