  • Monitor key maintenance KPIs, including downtime, PM completion, work orders, equipment reliability, maintenance costs, and spare parts inventory.
  • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate recurring equipment issues.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and accountability for maintenance technicians.
  • Partner with HR on staffing, employee development, performance management, attendance, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure employees and contractors are properly trained and qualified to perform their work safely.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with LOTO, confined space, hot work, fall protection, electrical safety, contractor safety, and other applicable programs.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Sanitation, and Engineering to coordinate repairs, projects, production priorities, and equipment improvements.

  • Manage maintenance budgets, contractors, repair expenses, MRO inventory, and critical spare parts.
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, commissioning, and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, work orders, and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure effective communication, shift handoffs, issue escalation, and follow-through on maintenance and reliability initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing, food processing, dairy, or industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams and managing contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance, CMMS systems, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with food safety and regulatory environments is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of industrial mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and utility systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP, SQF, food safety, and hygienic maintenance practices.
  • Strong leadership and employee development skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to analyze maintenance data, prioritize resources, and make sound operational decisions.
  • Proficiency with maintenance software, work-order management systems, and budget tracking.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on maintenance leader who enjoys solving problems, developing people, and improving the reliability of a manufacturing operation.
