Job Summary At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Maintenance Manager based onsite in our plant located in Eugene / Springfield, Oregon! The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of plant maintenance, including automation, with a focus on predictive/preventive maintenance and machine reliability for the manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities As a key member of our plant leadership team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:
• Lead and develop the site maintenance team-including supervisors, automation specialists/engineers, mechanics, and parts room staff-through coaching, mentoring, and regular performance feedback. • Foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and alignment with Danone Behaviors and IWS principles. • Partner with HR to address employee relations matters and drive team engagement, including action planning from engagement survey results. • Oversee maintenance planning, prioritization, and execution in collaboration with production, quality, and engineering to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. • Manage overtime, workload distribution, and resource allocation to achieve cost-effective maintenance performance. • Maintain regular floor presence to understand issues firsthand and support timely problem resolution. • Lead all safety, quality, and reliability initiatives within the maintenance function. • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, GMPs, plant rules, WISER, and Danone policies. • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment while promoting safe work habits and employee accountability. • Analyze maintenance trends, equipment performance, and data to identify losses and implement improvement strategies. • Provide technical expertise for mechanical, electrical, information, and process control systems while standardizing equipment and work processes. • Communicate with operating departments to identify optimization opportunities and implement process control improvements. • Deliver training on maintenance systems, process changes, equipment updates, and DMS tools; evaluate and qualify technicians as needed. • Identify skill gaps and provide targeted training to strengthen technical capability across the team. • Maintain personal professional development through corporate and external training opportunities. • Coordinate facility maintenance and capital/maintenance projects with engineering, contractors, and internal partners. • Plan and manage scheduled downtimes, shutdowns, and maintenance activities to support operational needs. • Optimize plant energy usage through proactive monitoring and efficiency initiatives. • Performs any other duties as assigned or requested.
Physical Demands While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

Ability to bend & stoop at waist level as well as bend & twist neck and head. The employee must regularly endure repetitive minimal to moderate lifting 10lbs up to 50lbs and occasional team lifting above 50lbs. Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and results. The employee is frequently sitting at a computer/desk using manual dexterity in various computer programs. Occasionally may need to climb stairs, step ladders, stool, and stand for hours on hard concrete. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, though hearing protection is required in many areas.
Work Environment Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations. Work schedules could include nights, weekends, and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.
