Title: Production Mechanic (Level 3)
Location: Oak Brook, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: 27-30/hr.

The Maintenance Mechanic performs advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and changeovers on production equipment, fabricates parts as needed, and provides technical support and training to other mechanics.

Job Duties:
  • Perform changeovers, overhauls, and corrective repairs on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and document downtime and repairs.
  • Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Replace and fabricate parts as needed.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and submit purchase requisitions.
  • Support and train Production Mechanics Level 1 and 2.
  • Follow GMP, OSHA, and safety standards and maintain good housekeeping.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Approximately 4 years of experience maintaining automated production equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Experience with packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, and case packers.
  • Basic computer skills (Word/Excel, maintenance records).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math and unit conversion skills.
