Title: Production Mechanic (Level 3)
Location: Oak Brook, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: 27-30/hr.
The Maintenance Mechanic performs advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and changeovers on production equipment, fabricates parts as needed, and provides technical support and training to other mechanics.
Job Duties:
Perform changeovers, overhauls, and corrective repairs on production equipment.
Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance and document downtime and repairs.
Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Replace and fabricate parts as needed.
Maintain spare parts inventory and submit purchase requisitions.
Support and train Production Mechanics Level 1 and 2.
Follow GMP, OSHA, and safety standards and maintain good housekeeping.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Approximately 4 years of experience maintaining automated production equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs.
Experience with packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, and case packers.
Basic computer skills (Word/Excel, maintenance records).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic math and unit conversion skills.
