    Hours for this position are 3:00pm-11:00pm, Sunday-Thursday.

    The Maintenance Mechanic I makes an impact by 

    • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
    • Ability to repair equipment during breakdowns.
    • Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work orders to plan, layout and complete work.
    • Use tools ranging from common hand tools and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills and wrenches to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic devices.
    • Inspect, operate, or test faulty machinery or equipment.
    • Basic ability to inspect or test programmable controllers and motors to diagnose machine malfunctions using voltmeters or other troubleshooting tools.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of assignments, machine repairs, parts inventory utilizing the site CMMS.
    • Work effectively with department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer.
    • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. 
    • Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), Plant Safety Regulations, Quality Control Standards and plant policies.
    • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 Systems.

    Physical Demands-

      The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

      • The employee is required to talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are high (PPE required).
      • The employee is required to wear mandated PPE based on assigned job area.
      • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an manufacturing environment for 8+ hours.
      • The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks.
      • Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks.
      • The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
      • Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required.
      • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
      • Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
