Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift at our Highland, IL facility! The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The rate for this position is $27.92 per hour plus an additional $.50/hour shift differential.

What you'll do:

The maintenance technician is responsible for installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment, plant, and associated systems.

In this function, you will:

  • Install equipment/machinery.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Complete/maintain maintenance logs and associated documentation.
  • Operate a variety of lifts etc.
  • Maintain and follow all safety requirements.
  • Maintain and secure tools and repair equipment. Maintain/clean work areas.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) equivalent from an accredited institution
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Highland, IL will be considered. Active-duty military service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in metal fabrication.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with wastewater treatment
  • Ability to modify or program PLC's and HMI's a plus
