Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Kenosha, WI

Position Summary:
To maintain machinery and building in safe working condition. To improve efficacy of machinery by means of completing preventative and predictive maintenance. To repair downed machinery quickly, completely and in a safe manor.

Essential Functions:
Perform routine preventive Maintenance activities
Takes the initiative in finding and implementing efficiency improvements to existing equipment and processes.
Assist in the installation, start-up and qualification of new equipment, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical.
Review equipment technical documentation to update preventative maintenance schedules.
Analyze maintenance data for the implementation of a predictive maintenance program.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time spent.
Set-up and trouble shoot process equipment.
Work closely with production to quickly resolve technical issues.
Knowledge of PLC’s, hydraulics, AC/DC, fuses, etc.
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
In-depth knowledge of plant operations; and functioning of production equipment. 
Ability to independently diagnose and repair equipment problems, as well as recommend long-term solutions. 
A working knowledge of inventory maintenance system is required. 
The ability to initiate and coordinate plant equipment and facilities projects under the direction of the Maintenance Manager is required. 
Ability to machine parts using lathes mills welding equipment according to specifications is required. 
Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and reading skills; as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. and to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting, bending, and standing, climbing or walking.  

Environmental Conditions
Air-conditioned/heated facility with adequate lighting.
