Position Summary
The Opportunity: In our contemporary world, an HVAC supervisor performs arguably the most essential functions of trades work; ensuring all building spaces are properly and adequately conditioned. This position performs critical diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, and is also involved in forward-thinking capital project planning. The skillsets required for this position are a complex blend of educational and vocational training combined with soft skills such as cross-departmental planning and communication. This position also serves as the primary lead and trainer of lower-level maintenance mechanics, ensuring the desired knowledge, skills, and traits are taught to employees.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position working 40 hours per week, onsite at the Mount Vernon campus.
The Location: Skagit Valley College is on the traditional and unceded territories of the Coast Salish People's, especially on Swinomish Indian Tribal Community, Upper Skagit Indian Tribe, Samish Indian Nation, Nooksack Indian Tribe, and Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe.
