Maintenance Mechanic

We are currently seeking a mechanically inclined candidate for our client in Canton, Ohio! If you have experience with industrial maintenance and enjoy working in a hands-on environment, we want to hear from you. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment and systems, helping ensure the company's operations are safe, reliable, and productive. Hours:
First shift, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday

Pay:
$22.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Maintain and repair 3-phase equipment up to 480 volts
  • Replace motors, bearings, belts, gear boxes, pumps, sensors, and other machine components
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and mechanical drawings
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
  • Install, relocate, and assist with new equipment setup
  • Maintain shop utilities, including air compressors, lighting, overhead doors, and basic building systems
  • Complete work orders and preventative maintenance records accurately
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Assist with spare parts inventory and recommend equipment improvements

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED; technical training preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 3-phase electrical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • OSHA 30-Hour training/certification a plus

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with PLCs or automation systems
  • Welding or fabricating experience

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or certifications related to maintenance

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work on-site in Canton, Ohio
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
  • Willingness to follow all safety protocols
