Maintenance Mechanic Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial setting
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Must provide your own basic mechanic tools (specialty tools are supplied)
  • Experience servicing mobile and large stationary equipment
  • Exposure to basic machining operations and equipment repair
  • Welding and fabrication abilities

Maintenance Mechanic Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and boost performance
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests from production teams
  • Collaborate with team members to solve maintenance challenges and support plant operations
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory protocols
