Maintenance Mechanic (DIRECT)

Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and 
maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. 
Tasks include start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining 
and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and other 
systems.

• Assists Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition
• Assists in building a maintenance program that optimizes the plants uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines
• Complete PMs
• Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment and document the work done without direct supervision
• Monitor equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order.
• Work closely with management to repair or replace equipment as needed
• Monitor boilers and associated equipment for proper operation
• Assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery
• Able to apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility
• Always complies with company policies and procedures
• Maintains a neat and clean working area throughout the day
• Operate forklift to unload and load trucks
• Needs experience reading electric diagrams
• Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs

Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience is required
Punctuality and reliability is a must.
Honesty and exceptional work ethic.
Ability to solve problems independently.
High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands
Continual standing and walking during shift.
Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.
Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during shift.
Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.
Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.
