Maintenance Mechanic

We believe in our team and pride our employees on their individual contributions and team contributions knowing without them we can't be at our best to meet our customers and venders' needs.Our company is currently searching for someone to join our maintenance team as a Maintenance Mechanic who will work to provide support across our plant to ensure machine efficiencies. This position will work within a team of other mechanical staff and will be based in our Dixon. IL facility. This role will require the selected candidate to be in office Monday through Friday 7am - 3:30pm. Additionally may be on-call during off hours and weekends as needed.Key Role and Responsibilities:Maintaining production equipment to optimize proper operation through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of machineryComplete accurately all administrative documents required to maintain maintenance logsAbility to troubleshoot in Industrial, electrical A/C & D/C motors and drivesAbility to read and comprehend schematicsFull understanding of hydraulics, pneumatic/mechanical failures, and strong ability to correct failuresSkills:High School Diploma or GED requiredAt least five years of maintenance and/or electrical experience in industrial environmentAbility to work independently with limited supervisionMust be able to work nights and weekends and overtime if neededAble to effectively communicate verbally and written on any outstanding issues or concernsIdeally possess technical degree and maintenance experience in plastics industry a plusApplicant must be able to pass pre-employment screening, background check, physical and drug screening (including marijuana) processes to be eligible for employment.
